I created my first mailing list in 2004, back when I was a humble food blogger. (It’s true.) Since then I’ve had many, many feelings about using email to connect with readers, especially since all our inboxes have become raging trash fires.

But with social media being what it is, I decided it’s time to go back to more immediate means of contact.

What this is: a low-frequency, low-lift way to keep up with my latest work, new products and merch, book tour info, and the like.

What this is not: A Livejournal (iykyk). An epistolary journey via email. Random thoughts. Substack.
